| Tournament angling is widely considered the pinnacle of sport fishing. Tournaments of all types are held throughout the year in varying formats, and with a myriad of target species. Tournament fishing can be one of the most rewarding experiences you can have on the water. It is basic human nature to compete with one another, and what better arena than fishing! The prize pools for tournaments in the Northeast region range from tackle, gift certificates, and commemorative trophies, to boats, motors, trailers, thousands in cash, and even entry into even larger tournaments throughout the country. Preparing for a tournament that very often has large sums of money, and even fully rigged boats as prizes can be a daunting task.
